This is it. Tomorrow morning is the first day of school, and I am so excited. I’m not even going to school, but all three of my kids are. I woke up this fine Labour Day morning at 8:30am. I wish I could have slept in – but, alas…..I have been a lazy bum, and have put off getting things ready for school.

I mean, COME ON, it’s not like I’ve been sitting around doing nothing. I’ve been hunting. Yup, hunting. Nothing like getting your trusty nit comb, and your hair stick, and your flashlight, and a few good clips, and spending a couple of hours combing the underbrush of your daughter’s heads. I don’t even really care if I find lice on J’s head. He’d be bic’d to the wood so fast – it wouldn’t even be funny. I’ve also been doing non-stop laundry. It’s absolutely sick. You’d think that my dryer would catch on fire, it’s been running non-stop since Thursday.

Now, Xandra has hair almost down to her bum; and it’s still that wispy baby fine hair. A real pain to comb out any time. We’ve been going through her hair twice a day. Saturday night I found nothing, but this morning I found 4 eggs. There is no louse that is laying them. I’m just not that good of a hunter. Then this evening, I found nothing. Geli is still bug free.

But, the kids are in bed, and the school supplies are labeled. I didn’t even have to go shopping. Our school sends a form home in May, and you send it back and then in June they send you all of next years supplies – TA DAH! No shopping! I can’t believe why anybody would do it any other way. The backpacks are packed. The uniforms are layed out. It’s a wonderful life.

At this point, I have bleached some highlights into my hair, and now I have a wild pink color over that. I’m “processing” Tomorrow, I’ll be ready for the first day of school.

I’m still trying to decide whether I’m going to get up and exercise or not. I’ll have to get up at 6:00am. Not my most favorite time of day. But, I really should!!! Well, we’ll see how it goes. No promises. I’ll let ya know.
