Girls Day with Mom

We had a girls day today. Jon took J. to a birthday party. Not my most favorite thing to do! – go into an enclosed space with 15+ kids, and feed them lots of sugar and get them hyped up and then send them home….YUCK! So, The girls and I went on an adventure. Jon dropped us off at Value Village and we went treasure hunting. For $34.oo we got 5 T-Shirts, 2 long sleeved shirts, 1 sweater, 2 sweatpants, and 1 skirt. Geli seriously need clothes. She’s getting too tall and lanky to be wearing clothes from a year ago. From there we went across the street to McDonalds and the girls shared a large fry and small Root Beer.

Girls at McDonlads

We walked from McDonalds up to West Oaks Mall. Stopped at the dollar store, and got some scrapbooking stuff. Walked through the mall, and along the strip down to Michaels where we bought some scrapbooking paper, and some beeswax candle wicks.

Geli recently spent the night with my grandma, and came home with a grocery bag full of beeswax. She was sooooo excited to show us this new thing of wonder. Jon made her wait ’till we as a family could all together experience this wonder. So, She(We) all made beeswax candles yesterday. Oh so fun!

Then we walked across the street and through the Bay into Seven Oaks Mall. We stopped at American Eagle to see if Aunty Nina was working, but she’d already left for the day. Stopped at Purdy’s and got Ice cream cones. They even had a no-sugar one – so I had one too(threw away the cone). We walked through 7 Oaks and across the street to the Little Oaks Shopping mall, and went to the scrapbooking store. See a theme? I was looking for a Happy Birthday Stamp, and a Congratulations stamp. Didn’t find one today! Have to keep looking!

From there we walked down and across the street to the bus stop. Had about 10 minutes ’till the bus showed up. The girls were trying to help each other to swing in the tree. So Cute!

Helping each other

We got on the bus about 3.5 hours after we had started our walking adventure. The girls were tired and so glad to sit down.

Ride Home

It was a good day, if not just a little tiring……..BUT, I got my exercise in for today – sorta!
