First Down, One to Go!
I’m not talking football either!
We had our annual Family Cookie Swap last night. I’m not really sure if this is the 3rd or 4th year, but it’s so much fun so who really cares.
It was a really nice night. Good food – Thanks Dad - Great Conversation, and Awesome Baking! We went home with a ton of really good stuff. I missed Lisa, but will get to see her and Tim sometime after the 20th of December. That’s when they are flying home! Yah!
This year was was fun because we had a ton of gifts to give away. Enough for everyone to get one – YAH! So nobody went home empty handed! That was a first! Usually I only have a few, but Deb and Grandma contributed some as well. You guys are awesome!
I think the highlight of the evening was when the power went out, and it started to snow, and in the darkness we all held hands around a single candle and sang a moving rendition of “Silent Night!”
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Plop! That’s me laughing my head off!
No, that didn’t actually happen! Well, the power did go out, and it did start to snow, and we lit a bazillion candles, but the moving rendition of “Silent Night” That did not happen! Would have been funny though!
I think the funniest part of the power outage was when my dad trots into his bedroom and comes out with 2 white pillar candles, and then goes back in and comes out again with 2 more, and then my mom heads in there and comes out with 2, and then my dad comes out again with another 2. Wow, I don’t even have that much mood lighting in my bed room! Way to go mom and dad! I know, You’re all grossing out, but come on – You have sex, they have sex, we have sex…….uh, maybe that’s heading into the too much information category. Do I even have a category called TMI? I don’t, well, I will when I’m done this post. Enough for now.
Let’s just say it was an awesome evening and leave it at that!
p.s. – don’t forget to give us your recipe. And don’t be scared to enter your name and e-mail….no one else can see your e-mail address so you wont get spammed.

The cookie swap was great! Great to catch up with everyone again.
Sorry I should have given a little direction about the cookie dough. Keep it frozen (or refrigerated) until you want to cook it. Let it rest at room temp for 20 mintues then slice and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. You should get nice, fresh, chewy, warm cookies whenever you want them!
Pictures are great too! I love the snowmen! (and Jeremy in the middle)

>> You have sex, they have sex, we have sex
Ummm… who is “they”?
BTW – good to hear your cookie swap was a success. I’ve never heard of such a think, but the photos were fun to look at. It’s amazing how everyone in your family looks alike!
Also, I think Dave C and his sons all look so much alike. There’s one pic of his new son laughing, and then one of Dave laughing a bit later. Same laugh!

More like, If you really want to end up with Patti’s foot up your anyways, enough fun for one day.
I made haystacks.
Basically you mix equal parts dipping chocolate, chow mein noodles and peanuts.
Melt the chocolate
Add the chow mein
Add the nuts.
Put in muffin cups.
Splash on some chocolate or caramel.
Freeze in freezer.
Eat.
Or store in Fridge or freezer.
Love you all.
