Passing ‘Round Some Christmas Cheer
People have been way too generous lately!
My kids are sick, and seeing as nobody in my house was ill to begin with….somebody has obviously passed it on. That is one part of the holiday season that I wish that people would be a little more stingy about. If more sick people stayed home, then we’d have less secondary sick people.
We stayed home from church this morning. I’m not passing anything around. We’re keeping it all in the family. Once again, Jon and Geli went; and Xan and Jeremy and I stayed home. Xan has been coughing for about a week now. She fell asleep at 6:00pm on Thursday night, with a fever. I kept her home on Friday. She’s such a sweetheart. She was so excited to be able to just have time with us, even if she wasn’t feeling well. We were woken up on Saturday morning to sounds of her retching and crying for me from the bathroom. She had sat down on the toilet and then stuff started flyin’ from both ends. Nice! She seems to be doing better, but last night Jeremy started in with the coughing.
By this morning, he sounded like a seal. It’s brutal. He seems to be okay except for the cough. But it’s nasty sounding! I’ll probably keep him home tomorrow if he doesn’t have a drastic recovery overnight. No fever so we’re doing okay!
Yesterday, Grandma and Grandpa R. took us to McDonalds! May not seem like a big deal to you, but remember, we have NO SPARE CASH right now! It was an awesome treat for a family with 3 kids! And, they all remembered their socks and got to play in the playplace. YAAAAAAH! At some point though, Geli and J were abducted by Aliens; and Bucky and Crazy Eyes were left in their place. They are pretty good though and haven’t caused us too much trouble!
Jeremy and this outfit – what can I say? We have 2 girls and lots of little girl dress up clothes. He put on a princess gown, but backwards, with the back(front) open. All he needed was chest hair and a few gold chains. He looked like he was wearing a shiny, polyester, one piece pant suit from the 70′s. It was sweet! See, He’s even pulling a sweet move for y’all!
Well, That’s about all I have for today! Just remember – Don’t Pass Around Your Christmas Cold! Nobody else wants it!

[...] Have I mentioned before that I have issues with germs? I try to keep it under control. I try to not let this….this….phobia run my life, but seriously! Unless you are at the pool to swim laps, and you go and swim and leave without thinking about what you’re stewing in – it creeps me out. Why would you voluntarily go to some place where people have sores and open wounds, athletes foot, jock itch, warts, and colds and runny noses and goodness knows what else, and just sit there luxuriating in the foulness of it all like it’s some amazing experience.
