In-Depth Me

So, if you’ve already read “About Me” then you know a little bit “about me”. I thought I’d take a moment today to share some “stuff” that you might not know.

My mother-in-law bought me a red housecoat for Christmas, and I practically live in it. Okay! So today I am actually dressed in regular clothes, but if I could, I would live in my Red Housecoat. I LOVE IT!

I gained WAY TOO MUCH weight over Christmas. I had been doing a low-carb diet, and then(totally frustrating) it seemed like my weight loss was stalling, AND around the same time, I made a whole bunch of delicious Christmas Baking – well, I ate most of it. I was just doing my duty, wouldn’t want Jon to get all fat after he lost a bunch of weight this summer, now – would I? Nope, now he’s still looking hot and I’m fatter! Ain’t life grand?

Now, I’m just hoping that I get pregnant this month, and then I have a dilemma – Do I not worry about my weight? seeing as I will just be doing my best to survive a pregnancy after a stillbirth, and a miscarriage at 15 weeks that all happened within last year…..OR Do I join “Weight Watchers” and gain a sensible amount of weight(probably 15 lbs- seeing as I was overweight to begin with) or do I just try to gain a sensible amount of weight on my own with out paying the $15 bucks a week? Do I need to be accountable to someone specific or will I be able to motivate myself if I am accountable to you, my dear Internet friends? AND THEN, do you really want to hear about every morsel of food that I put into my mouth, and how much I have gained or lost? See, It’s too much to comprehend and work through all at once! Well, I should know by the end of the week whether this is even an issue for me or not.

If it’s not an issue for me(meaning I’m not pregnant) then I have a whole ‘nuther wackload of diet and fat related questions that I need to ponder. OH THE JOY, THE FUN!

I absolutely LOVE chocolate! Really! When doing the low carb thing, that was the one thing that I had to find a replacement for. I LOVE CHOCOLATE like it is air. I found a chocolate bar made entirely of chemicals, and if you eat too much, then you spend WAY TOO much time in the bathroom – BUT – it has mint in it, and the mint masks the chemical flavor thereby enabeling you to consume the whole thing in one bite.

I love to read – in fact – I consume books like they are chocolate. I’ve stopped buying them ’cause it would cost the same amount as our monthly grocery bill to keep me in books for a month. Now, I just go to the library and grab 50 of them and take them home. Sometimes I end up with ones that I’ve read, and sometimes not. The only problem with the library is that I can’t always get the latest books by the authors I like. I love to read medical thrillers, and legal thrillers, and mysteries. Not so much into the Romance novels, though! I already have the man of my dreams, and no “written about hero” compares to the “real deal” Mine even comes complete with the long hair and everything! Nothing says “lovin” like wispy hair gettin’ all in your face ‘n eyes ‘n stuff, when you’re getting busy!

I love baking, but not so much the cooking!

I hate cleaning, and for the first 10 years of our married life made Jon clean the toilets! YUCK!!!!!! I hate toilets – I hate germs! I hate the public toilets that don’t have lids for the toilets! I usually “do” my business and then pull my clothes back on, open the stall, then flush and run out, slamming the door behind me. Haven’t you heard about “the spray”? How the spray from the toilet gets a 6 foot area with it’s grossness and germs? I don’t even care if it’s true or not – I’m not willing to chance it!

I’m also a “Toilet-Paper-er”! In the public toilets I put toilet paper on the seat. I can’t hover! I just can’t relax enough to let things happen if I’m hovering. Kudos to all you who can hover! I LOVE the restaurants and washrooms that have those little paper covers for the toilets, but hate the ones that have them, but are out! REFILL, People, REFILL!

I like to drink a “half-sweet, no-sugar, hazelnut latte” if you get the no-sugar flavoring then you have to get it half sweet or else it’s DISGUSTING! So, if you’ve had a suger-free coffee before and hated it – GIVE IT ONE MORE SHOT and try it half-sweet! It’ll taste much better! I guarantee it! But NO MONEY BACK, if you still don’t like it!

I hate my hair right now – Not just Hmmm, It’s okay! I. HATE. IT! I am getting it done next Tuesday, and can’t wait! That is the only thing that is helping me to get through the week – the thought that I have to live with bad hair days for only 7 more days! YIPEEEEEE!

Well, I feel like I haven’t old you anything really! I have som much more to share, but I think this is getting a little long, and I’ll post more later

Love to you all! MWACK! Kiss Kiss!

Patti, You and I have SO much in common. I LOVE chocolate. I LOVE reading! I love reading and eating chocolate at the same time! I love baking! I love cooking! I hate cleaning! A friend of mine said that she would much rather clean than cook or bake. I half-jokingly said we should exchange services. Now I wish I had been more serious. I need to wash my kitchen floor. I’ll do it tomorrow morning before the babysitter comes over.

And the dieting thing? I just started being good this week. The past two mornings I have woken up at 6:30 in the morning to exercise before everyone else wakes up. This morning, Gabriel came downstairs part way through my work out and told me that I was “doing a good job!” and “Mom. You are cool!” One thing that I find really works: no eating after 6 p.m. Maybe some tea. But no solids. Then workout before I eat breakfast. Eat 3 good meals, but no snacks. I also pick one thing to be my “reward” or “cheat”. This week, I’m going to have a piece of cafe au lait cheesecake on Thursday. Whenever I am tempted to snack, I think about the cheesecake and how it is so much better than the lame digestive cookie I want to have at that moment.

    I am a mad-note commenter! Take that, de-lurking week!
