First Baby Clothes
I did it. I went out and bought a few little baby things.
I have pretty much lent or given away all my previous baby stuff. I do have a few very special outfits from both the girls and Jeremy; but for the most part – I have nothing! When I say nothing – I mean NUTHIN! It is exciting and scary all at the same time. I have no crib or change table or baby bath or clothes….oh forgive me! I have baby blankets – not receiving blankets or spit up rags, but baby comforters. Like 5 of them! People gave them to me in large quantities when I had Geli and I have given away a few, but still have WAY TOO MANY! Everything else, not so much!
I am excited because I get to shop for stuff, and not excited because I have to buy everything. It’s kinda the same thing just looked at from 2 different viewpoints. Fortunately, I have done this a few times, and should know what things are useful, and what things are just a waste of money.
Here is the little thing that Geli and Xan and I picked out today. It’s very gender neutral, and yet should be okay on the baby in the fall when it is still warm out. We were at Walmart today, and there is a lot of UGLY stuff for babies out on the racks right now. Hopefully things change over the next little while – so many terrible gaudy patterns. Almost nothing just plain or even in soft baby colors. FUSHIA fish and flowers on a tiny little 3 month old baby girl. It just screams at you. If I were the baby I’d scream too!
I figure that if we get something every time we go shopping then, hopefully…the idea is, that we won’t break the bank! See Jon, I am thinking! Much better to slip it in a piece at a time than to spazz you out by doing a huge shop all at once – Right?????Huh???Don’t you think???
PS. Mind you the hat is so wide around that it wouldn’t fit the baby until it’s like 4-5 months old(but it’s too shallow through the bowl of it to fit anything other than a newborn), and by then the little undershirt will be WAY TOO SMALL, but it came together as a package, and mostly, I was just happy to be getting something for the baby!

I still have my bassenette, you can borrow it if you want too, it’s one of those things that I am just having a hard time giving away. It is wicker and has a hood. I think it is beautiful. I also still have a play pen you can have too, I kept it in case people come over with babies to put them to sleep.
just let me know
