Nuthin’ Says Loving Like a Dirty Floor and a Warm Vent
Jeremy loves his “comfort” things. He is the only one of my children to latch onto a “biki” (read blankie). He loves to snuggle and cuddle every morning or 3 or 4 times in the middle of the night. He loves his warm strawberry milk. He regularly cuddles 4 or 5 hard, cold, plastic or metal super heros or cars inhis bed every night. Nothing says lovin’ like a little “Hot Wheels car” or “Rocky Canyon” shoved into your back when you roll over.
I think you get the picture, and if you don’t – then I don’t hold much hope that you will ever understand what I mean, and in that case, forget about it and just go on with your day.
Any way, he had a hard time waking up this morning, as he stayed up way too late last night cuddling Legos in bed last night. (read that to say that he played Lego until 10:30pm by the light of his night light – Yah, I was real impressed, but he was quiet and that’s why we never realized that he was still awake) Then, to top it all off, he woke up at 5:45am this morning and tried to cuddle us in bed, but it’s a little difficult to sleep when the monkey in bed with you is doing the eggbeater with his legs, and talking at the same time. He got kicked back to his bed(by Jon) and I figured that he would be up for the day. Nope he fell asleep, and then was really annoyed when we told him he had to wake up and get ready for school.
I’m in the kitchen, this morning and he comes in and stands beside the counter for a minute, and then lays down. What the heck?
He literally snuggled the cupboards. Then I realized after he lifted up his shirt that he was in front of the vent, and was warming up. But seriously, I didn’t sweep last night, and it’s gross down on the floor. GET UP OFF THE FLOOR, DUDE! Oh well, at least he was happy and not crying about how he didn’t like Daddy because Daddy was mean and wasn’t helping him to find his clothes, and Daddy wanted him to get dressed, but it was too much work, and he was tired, and Daddy was mean…Did I already mention that one?
It’s hard to reason with an overtired 5 year old.

Great start to a day.

I pray that you have a good day and barf world does not overtake you.

I just admit, that’s cute.
I also like warm and fuzzy things, so it’s ok to be a manly man but still retain a soft and warm side. It doesn’t make us gay!

I have a cuddly bear for a son as well. It is sweet, unless the egg beater legs kick in, or the heavy breathing RIGHT IN MY EAR! Then, it is not so sweet. ha!
Too cute that he cuddled with the floor vent. Poor little chopper was tired.
