The Attitude Just Oozes……
My parents are amazing!
Remember I was begging asking for someone to have pity on us and take J for a night……well, my parents did! I love them, and J loves to go and spend time with them. He is actually a really sweet little boy in spite of his energy. We find that anyone who takes the time to actually get to know him – loves him! Sometimes first impressions are not all that favorable. Which I find hard! In fact, we even discussed him keeping or not keeping the mohawk because if it added to a negative first impression then it would be gone faster than…than….well, it would be gone fast.
See, he is actually a really soft little guy who loves to cuddle and hug and give kisses. He doesn’t like any one to get hurt or to be hurt. Sometimes his energy and enthusiam can get him into trouble ’cause he’s not so sure on what is acceptable and what isn’t acceptable in polite society. We’re working really hard on that, but it’s tough going with J.
My dad took some pics this weekend, and my mom sent this one to us. He looks like a punk-ass kid in this picture. I think it’s cute! I also think it’s scary! It’s such a contradiction to what’s really in his heart.
I hate that he might be misunderstood sometimes. And yet, I want to encourage him and his uniqueness without squashing him into a box. Sometimes this parenting stuff is hard. I only hope that in 10-15 years I look back and see an amazing journey with this amazing man at the end of it.
I’m doing my best. I only hope that my best is good enough!

Yes Patti I agree with you Jeremy does have a soft little heart I have seen it recently as he has come and sat on my knee and the night you were away he snuggled up on the couch with me. The pictures are cute maybe not the quite the right word but I think he is trying to figure out who this boy in the mirror is and how does he act. I am sure with all the love and prayers you will have a great sonas he gets older too. Love you just had to take one more peek at your blog

Yes! These are on Papa acceptable list of things a diabetic can eat. Next morning when Papa when Papa wanted to give him something a little more healthy Jeremy informed him….I can eat that Papa… it is not on my diet. What? Papa asked….Diet? I don’t think so J! WEll actually Papa…. It is a ‘life style’ Hey I have a good idea..Let’s go to Mac Donalds…. I see Papa and Jeremy have similar life styles…..
Jeremy will grow up to be much like you with a whole lot of Jon mixed in…. You were so much like him in energy and all that other stuff….. yeah! He will turn out just fine… You did! Love you lots Patty, Momma

mold his carachter, fill his heart with Gods word, teach him to love people, and charish the time you have raising him. Let him be who he is, unique and individual. Cause there isn’t all taht much you can do but pray as they find out who they are at their own pace. ……teach a child the way they should go…… is never so true as when they reach the teen years. Then pray like momma did!! As well as the rest of us. Love you tons and tons uncle Rick ps I LOVE THE HAIR !!!

I’m sure J will turn out pretty well. The post-apocalyptic world in which he will abide will undoubtedly place a high value on strength of character, so having a mohawk and developing a ‘tude at such a young age is surely a sign of impending world
dominationleadership. No?
