Beading and Stuff…….
The whole money thing is so tiresome.Â
It’s not that I’m truly ignoring it – in fact, it’s pretty much consuming my thoughts…..when I’m not ignoring it, that is.
I’m constantly thinking about what we can cut out or reduce or change. I’ve started a list of my groceries. It’s extremely anal. I have 3 pages in Excel tracking my groceries.  One page has the prices of everything that I’ve bought so far. One page is just a comprehensive list of what and how much stuff we are buying, and the last is the tally by date.
If I’m stuck here waiting for my period to come at least I can obsess about the groceries. My life is JUST SO EXCITING.
(It’s been almost 7 weeks since I had the D&C and NOTHING! What’s up with that? I took a pregnancy test last Saturday and it was negative. So, I really have no idea what or where my body is at. It’s kinda hard because every day that I don’t get it makes me hope a little more that somehow, someway I am actually pregnant and just tested too soon. I also don’t really want to get my hopes up and be devastated when I’m not. Very Frustrating – hence the obsession over something that I can control. My life is so fun, eh?)
In the mean time, I have 2 birthday parties on Saturday that my kids are to attend. Normally that would stress the crap outta me, but I’ve got it all under control.
I’ve been busy “beading”.Â
I have a present for the little girl whose party Geli is going to. I made a necklace and a bracelet for her. I think that we might pick up some little lip gloss or something else like that to round out the present.Â
I also have a present for La La’s little girl. We were given some gifts this past Christmas time, and one was a little too young for my girls. I’ve held onto it until now, and it will be perfect for Faith. Not to mention that I made her a little bracelet just for fun.
So, both birthday parties are covered and I’ve not had to spend any of our cash yet. YAH!
I mentioned that I’ve been beading. I like to do crafty stuff from time to time, especially in the evenings while I’m watching TV. You can check out more of what I’ve done by clicking here.
Just in case you’re wondering…….
I used memory wire that can be shaped however you want. The purple and blue napkin holders can be wounded into whatever shape you want them to be in. The black, gold and copper napkin holders are just as is. Slip a napkin through and VOILA! I was just goofing around when I made the cup markers, and the earrings. Pretty much the same for the purple and silver necklace. But the pink and blue necklace has a matching bracelet (minus the feature stone – it’s just the pink and blue beads) that I made last night.   They are the gift for Geli’s friend. The little mint green and purple bracelet is part of the gift for Faith. I think that about explains the pics.
Well, I’ve got some book keeping for my Grandfather that I’ve got to get finished.
 Sooooooooooo, have a great day!

If you sell them on your website get a PayPal account so people around the world can purchase them. I have a friend who sells paintings over the net that way, an online Gallery. If you donate a bit of your proceeds to a charity – it’s guaranteed that you’ll sell even more. People like spending money to support stuff if they get something for it. Just something I’ve observed… not to mention feel myself.

I agree with Lala & Shash – you’re talented ! and there’s gotta be a way to turn your hobbies into a little cottage industry!! Between your purses, beading and cards (and who knows what else … ) there’s bound to be people who want either or all!! Maybe a website?? or a consignment partnership with someone, like a hair or tanning salon, or spa, or boutique or even a coffee shop?? I saw homemade purses and beaded jewellery being sold just the other day at Milsean’s in Aldergrove…

And don’t forget about the cards!
They’re awesome.

Selling some of these at a spa would be a great idea. I know of one that might have some extra display space. Give me a call if you’re interrested.
