Pics Up and Available for your Viewing Pleasure
Yup, I’ve actually managed to sit here yawing and scrunched over and get all my pics up and onto flickr.
If you really want to you can look at the Sports Day one’s HERE and Xan’s Birthday Fiesta ones HERE.
Sports Day sucked as bad as I thought it would, and maybe a little more. They started doing a Jump Rope for Heart Fund Raising Event about 3 years ago. The first year the Geli was in school Sport’s Day was amazing and so much fun! The next year they started this Jump Rope CRAP, and it sucks. Imagine, if you will, 60 kindergartners going through 16 stations, and the first 12 of them are jumping rope. Now imagine that you make it through 15 stations, how many of them were actually fun for the kids and their parents, and the teachers. Well, if you count the first jump rope station, and then the last 3 various activities…ummmm….that’s not a whole lot of fun. I have a hard enough time keeping J interested in things when they are fun activities. Just try to imagine how much fun I had pleading, and cajoling and threatening, and encouraging him to stay on task, and to keep up with his group. Oh the joy, Oh the Fun! I wish we were doing it again tomorrow! NOT!
The girls were always at opposite ends of the school grounds, and so for the afternoon, I alternated between this end of the school’s property, and then running over to the other end of the school’s property, and then back again. I was so glad when it was finally over. As if the day was bad enough, when I got home – I realized that my face looked so goofy. Apparently I burnt my face, and because I wear my sunglasses religiously – I have the worlds goofiest raccoon eyes. Needless to say, I was exhausted! I lay down with Jeremy to try and get him to go to sleep – little bit of a sugar wind up going on! I fell asleep at 8:30pm and woke up at 7:00am this morning. I actually felt rested! Amazing!
Well, I’m going to bed now! I’ll try to tell you all about Xan’s Party tomorrow!
Tomorrow should be wonderful and fairly quiet! I only have one thing that I have to do, and even my house is cleaned up and put back together after the party. I think that by about 9pm you wouldn’t have even been able to tell that we’d had a party. It was so nice to be a little more organized and planned out and not stressed about the $$ or anything. Just the time! I, seriously, stressed about the time! But, I’ll tell ya tomorrow!Â
