Back At It!

Well, I know that I had said that I would have something for you either Saturday night, or Sunday at the latest - but I lied!

I’m hoping that things settle down, and that we find a nice slow routine again.  We got home about 11 pm on Thursday night, and after dropping everything on the floor in the front room, we went to bed!

Woke up on Friday morning, and had a freak out, ’cause I had to get my house tidy and back in some semblance of order before my sitter came to watch the kids, and stay overnight, and I had slept in, and I only had 6 hours until we had to leave, AND we had NO food in the house, which meant that I had to fit a shopping trip in as well.  That jus added to the stress because I haven’t even looked at my budget since the day or two before I left to go camping.  I still haven’t, and it’s bugging me.  That’s on the adgenda for today - if nothing else gets done, I will figure out my budget for July.

We went to the overnight meeting, and it all went well, but when we came home we found out that Jeremy had sliced the top of his finger off.  Nice, eh?  I don’t have to worry about a sitter who will freak out when emergencies happen.  I think that it’s a possibility that he could have used a few stiches, but it happened first thing in the morning, and we didn’t get home until 4:30pm, and so we picked up some butterfly bandages, and some bandaid glue, and pulled the gaping wound closed, and hopefully it’ll heal up quickly.

Saturday Night, both Jon and I were tired, and let the kids forage for themsleves a dinner-like meal. Then we put them to bed.  Watched Tristan & Isolde, and went to bed ourselves.

We woke up on Sunday, and were going bowling with our church at noon.  OUr house was not in rough shape, but was not spotless either.  I didn’t remember that, and before I knew it we had a crowd over for dinner.  Quick clean, and then just relax and don’t worry about the rest of the mess.  I couldn’t do anything about it at that point anyway.  It was nice.  La La and her crew was over and so was Super Mom and her crew.  It was a lot of fun.

I stayed up WAY TOO LATE working on the pics from our vacation - they’re flickred - and the pics from the Retreat and Bowling.  A lot of pics to sort through.

I’ll tell you about the holiday soon.  I’m still thinking about it, and a HUGE part of me wishes that I was still there although a part of me was ready to come home as well.  It was a much needed time away, and I’m glad I got the opportunity.  I was only supposed to be away for 9 days, and it turned into 13.

No news on the baby front!  I think that when the “magic” was supposed to happen, I was up at the lake by myself, and not much can happen on your own, eh?  I’m just waiting for a visit, and then we’ll be on to next month.  August is a good month isn’t it?  I’ll start thinking happy, positive thoughts for August and just hope for the best.  It’s dragging on though.  Hard to think that I was hoping I’d get pregnant right away, and be already a few months pregnant when the kids went back to school in the fall.  That’s not going to happen, and I have to accept that.  It’s hard.  Oh well!  One day!  I hope?!?
