I Just Don’t Wanna…………

I’m back, but I think I left my brain up there somewhere or maybe it flew out the window on the way back!

I have SO MUCH TO DO and I don’t really want to do anything.

I need to figure out my budgeting stuff!
I need to can peaches with the 20 lbs of peaches from the Okanagan!
I need to make salsa with the 25 lbs of tomatoes, also from the Okanagan!
I need to get the kids ready for school!
I need to make lists for night time routines, morning routines, chores, etc!
I need to figure out a schedule for myself for the fall!
I need to sign up for a swimming class of some sort!
I need to work on beading the purses that I’ve knitted and felted!
I need to make some more cards to sell!
I need to come up with a plan to sell my stuff!
I need……

The list is never ending. I did actually can the peaches yesterday! It was on my list of things to do, and I actually called my sister “the canning queen“! She was free yesterday, and so I made myself free yesterday so that she could show me how to do it! It was not much more difficult than I thought it would be, but I like to do things with someone, first, so I can see how it all works! Easy! Now to just save up so that I can can like mad next year! She’s doing pickles sometime this week, but will be doing them at midnight, and seeing as we live an hour away from each other – I guess I’ll be learning how to do pickles next year! She laughed at my puny 20 lb box of peaches and said that she does probably 80 lbs of peaches every other year! HA! I Have To Start Somewhere! So, Just Back Off! Seriously though, I was thrilled that she came out, and helped me out, and it was just nice to spend an afternoon with her!

Based on yesterday’s triumphs, I think I can handle the salsa by myself! Let’s just hope it turns out! Have to do that either today or tomorrow, and seeing as tomorrow is booked up all afternoon with Chiro appointments, and buying new glasses for Xan, and possibly letting the kids go swimming at the pool (the chiropracter’s office is in the Rec center). All of that is in the same city 2 over from us! SO, I think that we’ll make an afternoon of it! Maybe I can call my parents, and we can all have dinner at their house! We’ll see!

I’m kinda all over the place focus-wise! I want to be excited about the new-ness of the fall! It’s my favorite time of year! A new beginning! Warm, yet cool! Colorful! It’s just the best time of the year, but I almost want to stay cocooned the the lazy days of summer! Weird! Not sure what my problem is, but I have one week and a few days to get it all figured out before school starts, and then I don’t really have a choice!

Well! How was your summer? Are you ready for fall? How do you make the transition? I’m stressing! Can you tell?

Hi Patti we arrived home about six to-night ,glad you are home. I too have some peaches to do something with, not sure just what yet. Judy’s wedding was lovely , Harvey seems to be a very nice person and everyone speaks so well of him . Will tell you all about it when we see you. Are we going to sign up for swim classes to-gether ???? . Grandpa going to North Van in the morning not sure if I am yet, I am suppose to be. Sounds like you have busy days ahead, but I always liked Sept. and getting back to a schedule of some sort. Holidays are fun but the time comes that it feels good to get back to regular schedule. Talk to you soon. Love Grandma.

I feel your pain my sister!! Let you in on my little secret…if get frustrated enough, I go into hyper cleaning mode – which translates into …yes, you get it…’organization’!! So..if you want I’ll pray for you – but it will have to be when I’m not moving my own boxes, pushing furniture around ( you should SEE my basement – WOW!)…and throwing out stacks and stacks of stuff I’m sick of shuffling from one pile to another! Plus..it helps that I have a yearning to find my own place to scrapbook!!! Motivation is everything! I’ll be praying for you…honest! But I’ll have to hurry before this little spurt of energy wears off, and I think I’m sitting on the beach again!

I have to say the peaches and salsa sound yummy!! I love those 2…not together…but mmmmmmm!

My kids started back to school the 2nd week of August, so we’ve been back into the swing of things for a while now. I’m sure everything will fall into place! I’m a lister too, keeps me from getting too stressed out about forgetting something! Hope all goes well for you!
