So Sorry….
I have either been too busy, or else I’ve had nothing to say, and rather than spew my lameness at you – I’ve said nothing.
Things have not really been that exciting around here.
Mind you,………. I had coffee with a friend yesterday morning, and that was fun. Time got away on us, and the next thing we knew it was after 1pm. That was fun, but I’m not going to tell you what we talked about……ha ha ha! You’ll just have to come for coffee yourself sometime. Then we can talk, we can laugh, we can cry, we can hug and say good bye – ooooooooo, I just made a rhyme. I’m so cool!
Anyhoooooooo – That was fun, the rest of my life is not so much!
Day 4 of this stupid cleanse, and other than the fact that we don’t have oodles of food – not that I don’t have options on the diet, but I really don’t want to eat a ton of it – it’s going pretty well. I’m eating right now becuse I know that I should – I’m not really all that hungry, and that’s weird for me! (I don’t think any of that really made sense, but I’m not going back and changing it now!) Maybe I’m just having a down day, but I seriously miss the taste of coffee, and of chocolate. I know that whenever I stop eating sugar and starchy carbs, that I feel much better – BUT – Chocolate just tastes so darn good……and my chocolate chip cookies are to die for (not literally, but they are amazing, even if I do say so myself, and I do).
Yesterday I was informed that the money that I had received for going to Weight Watchers was not in fact for Weight Watchers. It was just to bless us! WOW! Total blessing, because we really needed to pick up some groceries, and we have decided that there is no more debt. REGARDLESS!!! !! !!!! !! !
It’s not that we are starving over here, but the supplies are getting low, and “funds coming in” has been non-existent. I was thrilled to be able to go to the store yesterday, and get a few things.
I actually bought something I’ve never bought before.

I was a little nervous that it would taste awful or like dirt or something equally as gross, but it is surprisingly delicious. In fact, I think that I may like it even more than I like rice.

One recipe that I read says that you can cook it just like rice. Another recipe, (the one I used) said to rinse it REALLY WELL (not just “sorta” well), and then to cook it in a cast iron skillet for about 7 minutes, and then to cook in for 15-20 minutes in boiling water. Same idea as rice, but you fry it first. Apparently this way is has a nuttier flavor. Beats me! All I know is that I loved it, and so did the rest of the family. Actually, Xan took it to school today cold. Is that weird or what? Yah for healthy food!
Movin’ on, I really have to nothing FABULOUS to report, and so rather than take up more of your time. I’ll be mosey-ing along now. Have a fantastic weekend, and if anything really exciting comes along – I’ll be sure to take pics, ’cause we just haven’t had any really exciting pictures around here for a while. I’ll work on that for ya. Chow for now!

So, is this something you buy at a regular store? Cuz I’ve never heard of it…but I want to try it. Have you ever heard of Polenta?? I have a few recipes for it, but have no idea where to get it..I’m afraid if I go to a regular grocery store that they’ll look at me like I’m crazy, so I haven’t asked anyone.
Btw, I’d soooo come for coffee!!! Unfortunately I’m moving further from Canada in a couple weeks. LOL.

It was really nice to talk especially to someone who understands my ‘stuff’ right now.
I’ve never heard of that stuff either, where did you get it? Love to try it.
Hey, How much are you going to sell your purses for?? I think I’d like to get in on the fashion trend before everyone else…let me know I’m serious.
