Well, apparently I missed out on posting for yesterday. Bad Me, but in my defense, I had a bit of busy day, and was pooped! I coffeed with a friend yesterday (I know, that one’s really difficult isn’t it), and I colored the kids hair. That was a hoot!

Because I have colored my hair so much, and so often, and so many different colors - it only makes sense to them that they should be allowed to color their hair, and really, “I don’t care!”

It’s just hair, eventually it washes out or we color it a different color or we hack it all off. No Big Deal!

So, I sat down and watched TV last night, and was totlaly disappointed with the selection. What was up with that?? No Survior, Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy were the saving grace, while I was distracted by the hockey game, and then no ER. It was a very disappointing night TV-wise. Oh well.

Here are some pictures of the girl’s hair. It doesn’t show the streaks as much as I’d like, but I think that when we wash their hair a few more times that we’ll see more of the streaks. You can see Xan’s streaks more than you can see Geli’s Streaks, but Xandra has or had lighter hair than Geli…..

It’s funny, ’cause I’ve never worried about what other people think about my kids or my parenting style when I do something a little out of the ordinary, but I’m wondering what the kids school (teachers) are going to think or say. There are lots of kids with colored hair at their school, so it’s not like it should be anything terribly strange, but I’ve been really boring and normal at this school.

What I mean by that is that at the kids last school, EVERYBODY was normal. All the moms and dad’s looked like they could have been poster children for the Gap. Everyone looked cute and preppy and spunky, and then there was me. I had colored hair, and it changed often, and I had a huge tatoo on my rear end that stuck out when I bent over, and my clothes were definately not from the Gap. Not that I have anything against the Gap, but I was big enough that very little from there fit me, AND I probably dressed just a little edgier than what you’d find there.

Then, we changed schools, and I was tired out from trying to get pregnant, and then losing the babies, and really just didn’t care about anything. I hadn’t changed my hair color in FOREVER, and my clothes were basically just jeans and a shirt and sweatshirt. BORING!

So, this is what the school knows of me, and I wonder what they will think. Not that I’m going to change anything or do anything different, but I just wonder…..

Any hooooooo…….I did color my kids hair yesterday, and yes, that included Jeremy, although we only did his mohawk. But he was feeling all sorts of cool and groovy after we did it, and started busting some moves……Jon caught some of it on video.

Excuse the blow dryer going in the background…….but some of his moves are too cute, and then he picks up the turkey baster…..Man I love this little kid.
