Chris Kennedy Update – WOW…
We have just been told that Chris is ready to come to the coast. The earliest that we had been told is two weeks, and some Drs were telling us that it might be 6 weeks to 3 months. Well its not even two weeks yet. Not only that but VGH (Vancouver General Hospital) already has a bed ready for him, and the air lift is scheduled for later this afternoon.
They are planning on taking him off of the ventilator, but keeping his tracheotomy in, as he is breathing on his own. He is making signals with his hands, and responding to all sorts of commands.
The Drs in Kamloops say that all that is needed going forward is some bone work and plastic surgery. This news is rather unexpected! We do have to wait and see if he gets the air lift or not. He could get bumped for a more critical patient.
We still need to cover Chris in prayer:
- that he gets the air lift sooner rather than later.
- that he gets the best medical team possible at VGH.
- that there are no complications with his move.
- that everything him would continue to heal and that he would have a full recovery.
- For Nina and those standing there with them (and their trip home)
- And don’t forget to give the thanks back to God for all that he has already done.
Chris’s recovery has been carried on your prayers, so these successes are truly your successes.

Hallelujah!!!! That is the best report yet – we are continuing to praise God for all he has done and is continuing to do – I am dancing with this report!!!!! I can just imagine how all of you are feeling!

such great news….I have been telling my fellow workers about what has been happening with Chris and Nina and none of them are saved…..YET! so good to have Praise Reports to tell them! what a testimony!!

Hi,
You and your family have been in our thoughts and prayers. My sister is married to Shane Keating and I am on the Northside Church prayer chain.
3 1/2 years ago my 26 year old husband had a major work accident and it has been a lifechanging experience. After 5 weeks and 10 major surgeries he came home from the hospital, where we have done physio, therapy, and more surgery. Today are life is full and happy and he is doing wonderully! And what I’ve learnt is that God is in control and has blessed my family with more miracles than I can even count! I truly feel after hearing your story that God is going to bless you abudantly through this experience! I know firsthand how tough it is to wait, and pray and then fear the worst and then pray again. I know how dark the valley can be but I also know how God carries you through the worst times to deliver you into the incredible gifts he has in store for you both! I pray that God continues to MIRACULOUSLY heal Chris and carry you and your families through this time.

Thank you Jesus! God is so faithful to keep His hand on Chris’ life and I know that more amazing reports are yet to come. I continue to have my dept. at work pray for him on a regular basis and they are quite concerned/involved with this whole situation (constantly asking me how he is doing daily). Love you guys….
