Another Update from Sherry….re Chris Kennedy

Chris was moved to the ICU (Bed 21) around 4:30 this afternoon.I know what a miracle that was and I am thankful for the favor shown by my colleages there. He has been seen by a number of specialists and the plastic surgery team is planning to take him to the O.R. tomorrow for a look at his arm and further debridement of tissue…may our prayer be for continued restoration of tissue and nerves, and for guidance to the surgical team as they contemplate major reconstruction of the left arm. Psalm 121:1-3 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:he that keepeth thee will not slumber.” Rest well tonight, Nina, Karen and Patti..we continue to lift you up. Sherry

  1. Chris's Mom:

Thanks Sherry, It is wonderful to know that God doesn’t sleep, that He cares for Chris and Nina more than we do. We are so thankful to Jesus for all He has done, the people he has placed in our path on this journey and for the victories already won. We know He will never leave us or fosake us.That underneath Chris and Nina ( and all of us) are the Everlasting Arms of Love. How wonderful it is to feel His peace and know that We can trust Him and He will be faithful to His Word. We will lift up the surgical team in prayer and all who help and touch Chris….God will guide and direct as they work on Chris’ body. Last night when we finally got home… I was so tired….I was not discouraged but inside and outside.. I was weary… I just sat and let Jesus put His arms around me and hold me and I cried. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the scriptures He has already given us reminded me that in resting and returning he would be saved and healed and in confidence and quietness would be our strength. I slept well last night. God bless all of you who are praying we cannot find words enough to say thankyou for we know that God has heard our prayers.

  2. Matt K:

What an amazing God we have. I’m so glad to hear that he’s in VGH and that things are working out with the surgical teams. Thanks so much for the updates auntie sherry, God has placed you there for a reason as well, we pray for you and chris and the surgical team. Stand on his word Nina, You are loved so much by all of us, but even more by God. Hope to hear from you soon.

  3. aunty sherry:

Psalm 89:5,6 “And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LOrd: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?…” What a wonderful God who makes all things work together..Chris is in CT scan right now and later this afternoon he will be going to the OR. Yesterday in emergency when the trauma team was talking about calling plastics I spoke up offering the name of the surgeon I would like to see Chris…I know the routine, it’s generally whoever is on call, and don’t get me wrong, the WHOLE plastic surgery dept at VGH is stellar, but this doctor is exceptional for reconstructive hand/arm work…and GOD IS GOOD!! I was told just a few minutes ago that the doctor I was asking for was called by the ICU team to take over Chris’s plastic surgery care!!!! So continue to pray for miraculous events and we continue to offer up our prayer of thanksgiving to Our Father who loves His children with an everlasting love. Love, Aunty Sherry

    Hey Patty & Johnathan.
Our prayers are with Chris and family. We know our God is faithful, and will see Chris through, we were stunned to hear the news but are rejoicing that he is still with us. Jesus is our healer and we expect and believe with you all for his total recovery. And thank the Lord for his miraculous saving grace. This too shall pass and bring glory to the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May He guide the hands and minds of those who will be taking care of Chris and may the Holy Spirit grant Chris peace while he recouperates.

    Love in Christ

I just heard this morning about Chris. All of you will be in our prayers and we will continue to pray for healing and strenth. You are often in my thoughts and always in my prayers. if there is ever anything you may need, I’m here for you.
With my own little girl being quite ill this past week, God has recently reminded me that whatever we ask in His name shall be given. and that, as always, God can only be faithfull.
