Chris Kennedy Updates from Sunday May 6th, 2006
Here are some updates from today.  Make sure that you check into the comments because sometimes people who are with him are able to hop onto a computer, and leave a brief comment about how it’s been going so far that day. Here are two of the comments from today.
Aunty Sherry:
I called into the O.R. around 1200 and the plastic surgeon was able to come to the phone..they were just finishing up on Chris’s arm!! I was able to get ahold of Nina who was waiting at the hospital for that good report.. Praise the Lord..I had spoken to the anesthetist earlier(who happened to be the first one in the room to assist on Friday when Chris went so unstable) so I was thankful to know that God had placed someone there who was aware of Chris’s history and someone more than capable and so considerate. I am so thankful that God has heard our prayers and Chris has made it through this first stage successfully! God is SO good…I am thankful for the care and thoughtfulness shown by all who were in that operating room Friday, and today. And to my colleagues in the recovery room who have allowed me so much latitude…thankyou Lord, for family and friends.
Hi, Momma and Debbie here.
We are in the hospital and Chris is getting his whatever they call it when the nurse has to do her stuff for about an hour. The plastic surgen said the surgery went really well. Denver and I saw Chris briefly around 2:15PM, he was very tired. Mom, Dad, and Nina were here all morning and saw Chris after his surgery. He was sleeping. When Denver and I saw him, the nurse said she would be waking him up to move him around so we could talk to him. He opened his eyes for a moment. We asked him if he was OK, he nodded yes. Then we just told him that his surgery went really well. We’ll be able to see him around 3:45PM. Thank you for praying. We’re continuing to pray because the next few days will be important. They will be monitoring the arm closly for 5 days and in around a week they will opperate some more on his arm. Pray for the blood vessels that they sewed together not to clot so blood flow to the muscle will continue.
God bless, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

We’re still praying for Chris and for all of you. God is a God of PROMISE. He will never forsake you nor will He leave you. His comforter (Holy Spirit)is always with us and even when we think there is no where else to find that speck of strength… Look up for the Lord your God is before you and He will guide you and lead you for He is our strength in time of need.
I will continue to pray for Chris’ strength and peace and patience.
A little advice… try getting him a magnetic white board and use magnetic letters for him to comunicate. It may help with mobility and lessen the frustration level : )

It is amazing what prayer can accomplish.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
“And they continued steadfastly…in prayers”
Acts 2:42
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Jeremiah 33:3
God is who He says He is and He IS OUR HEALER
God will finish the work in Chris that He has started.
You are all continually in my prayers.
Love in Christ
