Report from Monday and Tuesday re Chris Kennedy
I was so tired last night that as soon as supper was over… I lay down on the couch and went to sleep… I awoke at 1:30 am just to get up and go to bed.. and sleep until morning. So here is two days in one….
God bless you all
Love Karen.

Monday:Â
Chris is still in the Intensive Care Unit and was quieter today. They said he was up in the night several times..Â
In the morning he wasn’t responding too much. Just looking around. He tried to sit up.. got his shoulders off the pillow… I asked him, â€Are you trying to sit up?†He nodded. I asked him if he wanted the bed position up, NO. Then in a minute he tried again to sit up… took a lot of effort..then he laid back and in another minute.. he grabbed my arm and pulled.. not with his arm so much but from the torso  and again lifted his shoulders everytime… I ask him… “Does the nurse know your trying to sit up?â€Â He got a little grin and shook his head.. no.Â
I thought I would mention it because he is so wired up and because of  the newly placed muscle needing proper blood flow… I wasn’t sure what was good for it. But I never went back in again after that.
A couple of his friends came in and they were good for him. They talked about what the guys were doing and he seemed to respond real well to them. They even thought he was kinda joking with them. This trying to read hand signals and writing on a paper without looking at what your doing  is frustrating for us… and more frustrating for him but we are getting a little better at guessing.Â
They said he never slept a wink last night.
Tuesday….
Today he has been breathing on his own for 24 hours now and seems to be holding his own…
This means promotion. He gets to go to the next step down. So today was a bit of a waiting day and prep for the big move.
He was very tired today. He was staring at the roof when I came in. I told him he could close his eyes if he wanted to and he did… but in seconds they were open again. I said I’m still here…. You can rest if you want… he closed them again. We did this for about 15 minutes and then he began to sleep. He slept a lot today. I sang a little to him…everytime I did he would close his eyes again and rest.
Nina came and I said to her… I think I will go now. He opened his eyes and turned his head over my direction… Nina asked Him if he wanted me to stay… He nodded his head yes. So we just stayed and kept telling him it was okay to sleep.
They put new dressing on his leg and I don’t know if they did the foot, they said everything was looking good… nice and pink which is real good. The plastic surgeon was in and said the arm was looking good. There seemed to be some concern over that he is not moving his legs or toes. The left leg that had the broken bones he moved right away on command but the right leg..seemed to take a long time to get the command from the brain to the leg. And then not much.
Today he moved his right leg more but not his toes.  So we stand on the Word of God that He would have nothing missing nothing broken. That when God told us He would completely restore him that means both legs too.
At five they moved him into the Trauma Unit. His mind seemed quite clear and he was very cooperative the nurse said.
Praise the Lord… One step closer to Home. We know they say there are many steps still… but we are believing God that how ever many they say…. God will cut that in at least half.. if not more.
We thank God for all he has done for Christopher and for everyone who is part of this great miracle in any way.  Â
We continue to hold Nina up in prayer… Our God who provided healing for the body of Christ.. has healed her thyroid at the cross and seeing as Jesus carried it for her we declare that Graves Disease no longer has any right to be on her body.
We stand in the gap for you Nina. We declare wholeness to your body. We declare for both Chris and Nina  the soothing healing oil of the Holy Spirit will flow over you, in you and through you and refresh you and heal both of you from the inside out.
Thank you Jesus.Â

Hi to the Kennedy family – I’m a friend of Tim’s and Tim has been telling me about his brother Chris. I don’t know Chris and have never met him – but I have been praying for him since Tim shared the news of his accident with me. It is wonderful to read of his progress and to see God’s answered prayer! Though more prayer and healing are still required, we continue in faith knowing that God can do all things. I’m glad I found this site. I will keep you all in my prayers. God Bless. Gord Braun
Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
