Very Communicative Today!

Momma said that today was a good day.  Chris still seemed to be a bit agitated, but he was very communicative.

He spent a lot of time talking to everyone, mostly by writing stuff down and with gestures and head nodding or shaking.

He is still frustrated when people can’t understand what he is trying to say, but then…who wouldn’t be.

His nurse today was amazing.  Momma said that she was absolutely wonderful, and so helpful and caring and talked to the family a lot, and talked to Chris alot.  She was right on top of everything, and really made this a wonderful day, as far as days in the Trauma Unit go.

Mom did say that one funny thing happened.  She was talking with Chris and trying to understand what he was trying to tell her, but it wasn’t going so well, and he was frustrated, and so was she.  She finally just put the pen and paper down and went and sat in the chair in the corner of the room.  Chris looked at her, and then motioned for her to come back and talk to him.  He then wrote down that he didn’t like her attitude.  She questioned him, “You don’t like MY attitude?”  Yes, he indicated, and then wrote down that she she needed to change her attitude.  That made mom laugh, she wasn’t sure if he thought that she had gone to the corner to pout or what, but she thought that the fact that he was challenging her on her attitude was pretty funny.

Today was a pretty busy day as far as Chris being in communication with the family, and hopefully he will be tired out tonight, and sleep well.

THINGS TO PRAY ABOUT:

Pray for Chris to have an amazing and restful sleep tonight, and that he would wake up refreshed and ready for another fabulous day tomorrow.

Pray for tonight’s nurse that she would know exactly how to care for him, and how to be in communication with him.

Pray that he has an amazing nurse for tomorrow.  The staff are so important, and we need and want the exact right one that God has set to be on Chris’s care.

Pray for Nina to be able to sleep and get a really good night’s sleep tonight, and that she, too, would wake up refreshed tomorrow and ready for another day.

Pray that we all would be able to understand what Chris needs, and wants to say, and that he wouldn’t be frustrated with us not “getting” him.

Continue to pray for MIRACULOUS HEALING in Chris’s body.  We are believing for BIG THINGS from an even BIGGER GOD who’s desire it is to heal and restore.

I’ll keep you posted!

I woke up about 1:30 last night and prayed that
Chris was sleeping well and also for the family
to have a good night as you all must be very tired.

I am praying that this will also be a good day and
tonight will be restful for all of you.

I pray for peace and understanding, and that you find this path that he has chosen for you. I pray that you see that your car accident was one moment which has united so many people around the world… and brought so many people closer to GOD… we have read all the posting which started out that you may not make it to now moving and communicating… THAT IS A MIRCLE!!!!

You are blessed and have been chosen for something amazing… read the postings on facebook… you are in our hearts, prayers and homes…

Hi Chris, so good to hear the confirmation of what we all are beliefing for in your and Nina’s life’s, bodies and minds. We’ll keep on praying and believing and you just keep on recieving.Chris, it’s “Mother’s Day ” today so don’t throw any thing at your Momma. If you need to, throw something at Tim for me !! It’ll give your arm some excercise.( sorry for that Tim)
Patti, you are such a blessing. Thankyou for all the postings and updates. We’ll see you all at the end of the month.

  6. momma:

Chris was talking ( when I say talking I mean writing nodding, and sign language) with the nurse about her children and she told him what they had done for her in the morning. Patti told him it was May and maybe 15 minutes later when I came in He becond me to come to the bed and he signaled for me to lean in as he turned his face to give me a kiss. His head seems to be rushing with thoughts today so much that even though he needed sleep real bad.. when ever it threatened to come he would fight it off. And try to write more. He never slept last night at all they said… when I called Sherri tonight she said he was sleeping. Praise the Lord. Please Father calm his mind and give him sleep, lots of sleep.
