While You’re praying……don’t miss the update regarding Chris Kennedy below.

Momma (Karen) is actually going into Langley Hospital today for surgery.

It’s minor, so don’t freak out.  She got a rose thorn stuck in her finger a few years ago, and it appears that her body has formed a protctive bubble around the thorn.  It’s not painful, but who wnats to go through life with a bump on the side of their finger – so the doctors has suggested that it be removed.

Please pray for her that she would be at peace with the procedure, and with the fact that she’s not at the hospital with Chris.  We all thought that Chris would have been in and out of his surgery before today.  So prayer for peace for the momma and wisdom and skill for the surgeon and that everything will go exactly as God plans for momma and her finger.

Pray for a speedy recovery!

I have just talked to Kare and this is just to let all know that her surgery went well and she is feeling even MORE laid back than usual…no nausea, just REALLY drowsy from the anaesthetic. She wanted me to say Praise the Lord, Chris had surgery this morning!! In fact, even though he was still way down on the list from yesterday to be done, he was the FIRST one taken to the O.R. this morning…he has connections in High Places!! He asked me in the recovery room, “when am i having my surgery” and i explained it was done..he replied”then lets have a break for the rest of the day!!”..He wanted to know why his leg was pink and i told him the cleaning solution turned it that color..he announced with regret that he guessed “shorts would be out for the summer”…he made everyone laugh. He was in some pain but so appreciative of everything that was done for him..Nina was waiting for him when we transferred him back to the trauma unit and Patti was close behind. Thank you Jesus for continued healing and for the peace that you bring to Chris and all those around him.(sleep well Karen xo)

well I see the drugs are affecting me check out that spelling…..actually I am typing one handed and didn’t bother to check my spelling until I had submitted it…If I got even the smallest refresher course on how thing are after surgery with Chris……He is doing amazing…..those IV lines hurt when they put them in. and it stinks when they get it in and it doesn’t work! And my head feels like it is full of sand and I am dragging it on the ground behind me. It feels better just to keep my eyes closed.(now I am not complaining just considering how much more Chris must be feeling, with everything and all the drugs he’s getting)Thank you Jesus for being his strength and his song. You are life to those that take hold of You and health to all their flesh.) What wonderful people work in the medical profession, what a ‘calling’.They don’t just do a job… they minister to people. God bless them and give them strength.

Thank the Lord for Gods’ hand to-day on both Karen and Chris .I just don’t know what people do without the Lord.I just read Rom.8:11″ And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you then He who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead WILL ALSO RESTORE TO LIFE YOUR MORTAL BODIES THROUGH HIS SPIRIT WHO LIVES IN YOU. P.T.L. Love and prayers Grandma and Mom
