Yesterday when Mark and I arrived Chris was back in his bed.  He had been out in the chair.. This seems to take a tremendous amount of energy. Just the joggling getting him in and out of it the bed to the chair and then back again. . The nurse said he seemed to want someone around and she sat beside him while she did her reports. She was very kind to him. His mind was mixing him up and he knew it at times.  He knew he had been having some weird dreams… but at other times, he had a hard time distinguishing between what was reality and what was not.  His energy, he said, seemed to drain right out of his feet when he was sitting. The chair was hard and it made his butt go numb. They were going to try to get him up a couple of times instead of one long time.  He was a little more agitated at times yesterday and frustrated with how long a time it seemed to be that he was there.  He slept well last night although he didn’t remember it. I don’t think you get very good deep sleep in a hospital.

Today he was in the chair when we arrived.  He talked with us.. although not everything made sense. He wanted to get put back to bed… he had enough and needed to lie down.  Mark held his foot against his leg and told Chris to push. He was able, with a little effort to push his leg out. Mark started to do this with him two days ago when he was not able to get any movement in his right leg. Now he is pushing and is getting stronger each time. Today he could push his foot against Mark’s leg and he had some good force.  He also was able to move his leg inward, pulling it toward the other leg.  Praise the Lord.  We pray that he will continue to get the strength and the signals to get this leg working the way God created it to work. He seemed to be very tired today.

He again asked me how long he had been in the hospital.. I told him just over 5 weeks.. He thought that was a long time… I got to thinking about that, I thought Chris has lived 5 weeks more than the Doctors had expected…and this is just the beginning of the rest of his life…..Some how it doesn’t seem so long when you look at it from that perspective. Praise the Lord.  I pray Chris will take hold of the joy that comes from each new day…..That we also will rejoice in each new day God gives us.

WHAT A GIFT LIFE IS!  Thank you Jesus!

We also pray that what ever is needed to continue the re-building of his arm and leg that God will orchestrated this to His glory and praise. We expect complete restoration for Chris’ body, mind and soul. We know God is never late and will help us. We put our hope and trust in God who is gracious and compassionate, great in mercy and rich in love. Lord Jesus, you carry Christopher in your arms and He is your workmanship, created in your image.

Lord Jesus, we pray Christopher will be aware of your presence through the day and the night. That He will know your angels surround him and protect him. Teach him the way you have prepared for him. He is strong in the Lord and in the power of your might. Strengthen him Lord, strengthen his spirit, hold his hand, give him a song and remind him of your promises.

Father, we ask you to hold Nina in your arms, strengthen her, and refresh her.  We thank you for supplying all their needs and going ahead of her and preparing the way before her. Open doors of blessing and opportunities and guide her each day. Thank you for continued healing in her body.

Thank you again for all your prayer support and your love… God bless you all Love Karen
