Update from Momma Saturday July 21st
I have been home now just a week. It is good to see how well Chris is doing. He can get in and out of the bed on his own he is so much more vibrant than when I left three weeks ago.  He is getting stronger and so much of the swelling is gone now. His foot is still swollen but is healing well.  He is waiting now for his bones to heal and the grafts to get strong enough so he can put weight on them and begin the work out program.  He had a hair cut this week….. looks real good. His aunts Ruth and Hope came by for a visit and coffee at Star Bucks, this made for a pleasant afternoon.
He has an appointment coming up that will assess him again for GF Strong. This is still a couple of weeks away.   His mind is also getting clearer everyday, we pray for more miracles as his brain continues to heal.     He also has had his pain medication lowered right down He is off so of the meds he was on…. He told me he was drug free…. I am not sure if that is everything or not. But it is amazing that in just three months he is off almost everything. Praise the Lord.
Chrisis pretty good with his wheelchair….He is able to go out for food and coffee’s  He eats better when he has company.  But he is aware he needs to make sure he is getting enough calories and protein to heal properly.   Â
It is so wonderful what the Lord has done. Â
What has been done through prayer
and what the doctors have been able to do Â
God is not finished with Chris yet. Â Â Â Â Â
We are praying for God to strengthen and guide both Chris and Nina through this time. Â
I am confident of this, that God who began a good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
God is our strength and helper in time of need. He is faithful who promised Â
So we will keep our eyes fixed on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith

Hi, Here is an update on Chris….
Chris had a blood blister on his left ankle lanced on Monday. Doc Mah started him on penicillin and the lab report s/b back Thursday just to see if there is anything to be concerned about.
Tuesday Bessy, the Occupational Therapist spent an hour with Chris.
She worked.on his wrist and fingers. With range, movement, and feelings He worked with different textures. He used putty squeezing, lifting and pushing. She will set up a program chart so Chris will know what to do. Also she or her assistant will be working with him everyday to help him with getting more normal feelings back in left hand also more exercises to help progress in his left hand so it will be ready when the time comes he can weight bear with it
Also she worked on his foot, reverse massaging to help the swelling leave and she wants him to be able to have the range of movement he needs for walking when the time comes. She will be setting up exercise charts for him.. this will help a lot. Today was an encouraging day as there was something happening. Something that is making more progress.
