Chris was up early this morning and off to VGH. He had to see the orthopedic surgeon Yesterday the plastic surgeon told us there was a problem and that is the reason for today’s appointment. It was a long day and not a very encouraging day. But we are thankful they have caught the problem now and not later.
Christopher just found out today he will need more operations on his leg. The bone has infection in it and they have to take out the rod they put inside the bone and put a new rod in. The bone has not healed at the break and so for the leg it is like starting all over as far as time to start working on that leg goes. Chris told me they have to take the leg apart at the knee to run the rod out and in from the top of the leg bone down to the foot area. The graph they put on the leg has infection. And they will need to cut out the infected and dead tissue on the graph. I am not sure if they will have to do the whole graph over or just part of it… so there will be several more operations… He will be going to VGH on Sunday and having surgery on Monday… Please pray that he will be able to get in and get this done on Monday like they plan….Please pray for God to make himself real and so very close to Chris… pray he will find his strength in the Lord. Chris is starting to show he is feeling very overwhelmed by everything…..Pray Chris and Nina will keep their eyes on Jesus… there is no other way for them to make it through this time.

Praise the Lord you are back at VGH(where I, as well as God, can keep an eye on you!!) I hope the temp. soars to the high 30′s this week just so you can enjoy your climate control environment!!! It may even feel chilly in your room but I will bring a blanket later(that is to help your momma rest better as well!) I am praying you are again shown favor and I know I will be in the right place if there is any way I can influence what time you have your surgery tomorrow. What a joy it was to see you smiling so much of the day…Praise God He is our Rock, our Refuge, and our Fortress…He has been with us through all of this and continues to hold you in His hand Chris…we will not lose heart. xo

Chris is in surgery now. Monday at 1pm. Thank you Jesus you are the Great Physician and we know your hand is on Chris and on the surgeons guiding them and giving them wisdom beyond their own. We pray in Jesus name for you Lord to give strength to Chris and that your healing will continue to operate in Chris body, soul and spirit until the completion of this Miracle is manifested.
