So, Chris had his first weekend home since the accident, and I could tell you story after story of how wonderful and amazing it was. I’ll start with Breakfast at Ricky’s Restaurant on Saturday morning, and then move onto our hike through Lynn Canyon, and our trip down to the States for 6 hours of power shopping.

We got up Saturday morning, and waited around for ever – Oh, by we I mean Jon and the kids and I – Chris was sleeping in….wouldn’t you want to just be able to rest and relax and sleep in after 6 months of hospital beds and food and schedules……..so, we waited and waited and waited, and finally got the call to head to the restaurant.

We showed up and ate and it wonderful…..THE END!

Great story, eh? I know it’s one of my favorites from the weekend.

What? What was that? Oh! You want to know about the hike and the power shopping….

I just told you that to keep you interested…………..did it work?

No, there was no hiking, and no power shopping trip. Actually, other than breakfast on Saturday, and the relaxing Friday night playing an intense Scrabble Game – I have no idea what went on, but I’m sure that whatever it was was WAY better than any weekend in the rehab center.
