Onto the Next Phase of This Amazing Journey………
It is Time to Celebrate.
Chris walked out of the G.F.Strong today!!!
Ending this phase of his recovery and enter the next!
We have so much to be thankful for!!
Yesterday Chris had an Appointment with the plastic surgeon regarding his face and dental stuff. He will be sending out a letter of recommendations and also referrals to other specialists that will need to work on Chris face and teeth. (Over the next two years) it sounds like a lengthy process. This sounds like they will be getting going on this as soon as possible. There is much to be done and it sounds like he is knows the system well and seemed confident things would work out.
He went also to see the Orrtho surgeon and He said though he wasn’t really sure he saw much growth He thought he saw some growth on the outer side of the rod in his leg where the break was. When he asked Chris how it felt walking and other things about his walking and using the cane and pain meds… He said, “well that says more that the xrays…”
If it wasn’t growing there would be a lot of pain when he walked. So he will come back to see him in a 4 weeks with more x-rays for his arm leg and foot.
He is looking in to getting going on the arm surgery, to get his arm more useful.
He also is going to send him to a foot and ankle specialist to see what can be done for his foot to get it where he can walk flat on it and be able to use his toes. This one he will just get on the list and it will probably not begin until some time in the new year. Being able to walk right now is of much more importance in the whole scheme of things. But the foot is something that will need to be looked at.
Chris has been off the pain meds completely and they will monitor this for a day or two. To see how he manages physio ect and what his needs will be in regards to pain meds.
There were several phone conferences with the Doctor from Infectious Diseases Control. In regards to his blood tests. There is some count (in the platelets) I think… anyway it was at 14 when he finished his IV treatments. and the test today read at 12 and the Doctor told me around 10 is normal So his body is responding in the right direction.
This is good.
He wants Chris to come in for a follow up appointment, end of Nov. He has also said they can remove the PIC Line. So they are not looking at more IV’s anywhere in the near future….
Praise the Lord. They removed it today

WOW Chris!
What a powerful testimony you are! We Praise God for all things! We Praise God for answered prayers on behalf of your parents, your siblings, your grandparents, all your many relatives and friends.
BUT!! While this may be the day that many prayed for back in April, May and June….We will not stop praying as it will become clear that coming home may very well be another valley to walk through as you begin to deal with life and the challenges that the enemy will lay before you.
Always remember that “greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world”.
Take care Chris!
Great news!
