We come by once in awhile to hear how Chris is doing and find his determination inspiring. Chris sets such an example of not giving up that you don't often see. Thank you for being transparent in a "blog-kind-of-way," I think you able to impact others without fully being aware of it.

Hi Chris. Thanks for taking my call yesterday. After all my years of working in orthodontics I understand "mumble" very well. Actually, you were easy to understand. The swelling will likely go down pretty quick. Are you getting tired of the liquids yet? That's the tough part. And, as I recall from my jaw surgery a million years ago, the facial muscle spasms weren't too much fun either. Well, you are an amazing person and as always I am moved by the "cool" way you handle yourself through all these medical procedures. I hope you are able to ramp up the food textures pretty soon. Take care of yourself. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful smile (and not so swollen) face soon. Maureen

Hi Chris You just have to be the bravest guy I have ever heard of. I cannot tell you how nervous I was when I had my first surgery a couple years ago (before my knee replacement) it was just an ingrown toenail and I was so nervous I could hardly sleep the night before. My optometrist tells me I have to have eye surgery in about a years time .Nice of him to give me all that time to think about it. I told him I was a real chicken about surgery ,that the only thing I had ever had was knee replacement. He reassured me this would be a piece of cake compared to that. Love you and praying for you.
